production companies and the coordinator must demonstrate recent experience in producing internationally distributed works

Local Councils, Regional Councils, NGOs, educational institutions, small and micro businesses and natural persons. All applicants must have a physical presence in Gozo.
Applicant must be a qualifying company. The minimum spend must be €100,000 in Malta with an overall budget exceeding €200,000. Applicant must pass the cultural test. Foreign qualifying companies are to engage an ‘Opportunity for All’ (OFA) registered Production Service Company.

Applicants may include authors, translators, editors, or publishers. Projects must involve translating international works of literature or research into Maltese. The original work must be published and identified by an ISBN (with exceptions for pre-1970 works).
Authors, translators, and publishers in Malta. Projects must involve translating excerpts of already published Maltese works with a Maltese ISBN into other languages for pitching purposes. Maximum of two funded projects per applicant.
Applicants may include authors, translators, editors, or publishers working on translation and export of Maltese books. Projects must involve translation of Maltese works (with a Maltese ISBN) into other languages or exporting to new English-speaking markets.
