2025 Tap Water Scheme
Residents of Malta (18+) with ID/residence permit, owner or emphyteuta or long leaseholder of a residential property (not for business/commercial use). Not eligible if other public funding has been received for same system. Installation must be for private domestic use only.
2025 Water Heater Scheme
Residents of Malta (18+), owners or emphyteuta of residential property used for private residence. Not eligible if property is used for commercial/business purposes or if other similar grants received. Applicants must not be landlords or applying on behalf of undertakings. Applicants must have valid planning permission (if required).
2025 Renewable Energy Sources Scheme
Residents of Malta (18+), owners or emphyteuta of residential property used for private residence. Not eligible if property is used for commercial/business purposes or if other similar grants received. PV system must be installed at applicant’s residence with a valid residential electricity bill. System must be grid-connected and REWS-registered.
Double Glazing (Retro Fitting) – Birżebbuġa Residents
Must be 18+ and Maltese resident; property must be in Birżebbuġa; double glazing must be REWS-registered, purchased in Malta; no other public funding or grant on same system; U-value ≤ 3.7 W/m²K; acoustic performance recommended
Solar Water Heaters
REWS-registered product; no prior public grant on system; residential/domestic use only; valid planning permit; 10-year warranty and maintenance contract required; minimum sun exposure required
Heat Pump Water Heater
No previous grant in last 6 years; residential/domestic use only; no commercial/rental applications; planning permission required where applicable; must use REWS-registered product
Domestic Cisterns Restoration
Private domestic use only; no commercial use or rental; cistern must not be connected to sewer; valid domestic water bill; planning permission if required; used only for flushing/irrigation
