Purchase & register new petrol-powered Category L vehicle from 1 April 2025; No previous petrol motorcycle grant from 2021–2025; Optional scrappage bonus

• IBAN proof
• Scrappage documentation if applicable
Retrofitted with approved battery electric powertrain; technical proposal signed by warranted engineers; compliance with De Minimis State Aid rules

Retrofit with certified photovoltaic panels on minibuses, buses, coaches, trucks, semitrailers, trailers; use certified installers; comply with De Minimis rules

Resident in Malta, owner of new e-kickscooter, registered after 01/01/2025

• Proof of IBAN in applicant or spouse’s name
Individuals not older than 30 years, being a resident of Malta for at least 7 years, shall possess a Category B license and applicant shall not have a driving licence from a Non-EU country.
Application requirements:
To return driving licence to Transport Malta; Commit not to request the issuance of a new driving licence for a period of five (5) years after the date of surrender.
Anyone can apply including individuals. No criteria needed to apply for the challenge.
